Honesty about outcomes
- We never promise that funds will be returned.
- We say plainly that only law enforcement and courts can seize or return assets.
- We tell people honestly when a trace is unlikely to help, before they pay anything.
How we treat people
- We are calm, respectful and on the side of the person we're helping.
- We never blame anyone for being targeted by fraud.
- We never contact people first offering to return funds.
- We never use urgency or pressure to win a case.
Money
- We give a written quote before any paid work.
- We never charge upfront recovery fees or success fees.
- We never accept payment in cryptocurrency.
Security
- We never ask for seed phrases, private keys, passwords or remote access to a device.
- We follow our evidence handling and privacy policies on every case.
Reporting a concern
If you believe an investigator has broken this code, contact us through the contact page and choose “Something else”. We'll investigate and reply.
Evidence handling
How every investigator collects, records, stores and shares evidence on a case.
Collecting evidence
We work from public blockchain data, the information you give us and attributions from sources we can name. We record where each piece of information came from.
Recording the trace
- Every hop is recorded with its transaction hash, amount and timestamp.
- Every attribution, such as “this address belongs to an exchange”, records its source and confidence.
- Changes to a report are versioned, so it's clear what was found and when.
Storing evidence
Case files are stored encrypted and access is limited to the investigators on the case and the people who supervise them. We keep case files for a fixed period, then delete them unless you or a legal process ask us to keep them.
Sharing evidence
We share reports only with you and with the recipients you approve, such as police, a prosecutor, your lawyer or an exchange's compliance team, unless the law requires otherwise.
