Mission

End fake recovery services.

After a loss, many people are contacted by someone offering to return their crypto for a fee. It is almost always a second fraud. We name the problem openly.

A city street at dusk with lit windows and a person walking alone

People who lose funds are often targeted twice.

After a loss, people are contacted by services that promise to return their crypto for a fee. They may claim to be lawyers, investigators, regulators or even Chainsentra. They take the fee and disappear.

No honest service can promise to return funds. Only law enforcement and courts can seize or return assets. We want every person who has lost funds to know that before they pay anyone.

Signs of a fake recovery service

  • They contacted you first, often soon after your loss.
  • They promise to return your funds, or say success is certain.
  • They ask for an upfront fee, a tax or a release payment, often in crypto.
  • They ask for your seed phrase, private keys or remote access to your device.
  • They pressure you to act quickly or keep it secret.
